If you're relocating here from another country, getting the relevant visa before you move to Silicon Valley sounds obvious but it doesn't always happen.
Check with your travel agent or company when you make your flight arrangements to see if you will all be getting the right visa.
I have a horror story I can share with you one day about my moving to Silicon Valley, because of my and my husband's naivete about the visa issue. He's American, I'm English, married for 10 years, have two kids, flying to the States on a one-way ticket no problem. Right? Wrong!
